Applicant Privacy Notice

Last updated: March 2026

1. Notice to credit applicants and related contacts

This notice explains how information submitted through a credit application or related review process may be handled when a business uses SCREDIT to evaluate creditworthiness, manage trade credit, review financial strength, or maintain account risk records.

2. Who controls your information

The business requesting or receiving your application is generally the controller of your information and decides how it is used for credit review or account management. EFILOS provides the SCREDIT platform and generally acts only as a processor on behalf of that business.

3. Information that may be collected

  • Business contact details, company identifiers, addresses, tax or registration information, and principal or guarantor details where required by the customer.
  • Financial statements, trade references, bank references, payment history, credit application forms, and supporting documentation.
  • Communications, login events, portal activity, and records needed to complete the application or review process.

4. How the information may be used

  • Evaluate applications, verify submitted information, review payment risk, manage credit limits, and monitor account performance.
  • Communicate with applicants, references, or related contacts regarding the application or ongoing account relationship.
  • Comply with legal, contractual, audit, or security requirements.

5. Your questions and rights

Because the requesting business controls the data, privacy questions and rights requests should generally be directed to that business first. EFILOS will assist the customer as appropriate under law and contract.
