CREDIT APPLICATION AUTOMATION

Credit applications that arrive complete and move on their own.

SCREDIT digitizes credit application intake end to end: structured online applications, document and reference collection, and workflow that carries each application from submission to decision without email chases.

THE PROBLEM

PDF applications and email intake stall accounts before they open.

When applications arrive as scanned forms with missing fields, absent trade references, and no attached financials, credit teams spend their time chasing information instead of evaluating it. Every chase is a day of delay for sales and a worse first impression for the customer.

CAPABILITIES

What SCREDIT delivers

Structured Digital Intake

Replace PDF and paper forms with a digital application that captures business details, ownership, banking, and requested terms in validated fields.

Document Collection

Request and receive financial statements, tax documents, and supporting files as part of the application itself, attached to the record from day one.

Trade Reference Capture

Collect trade references in a structured format so verification starts from data, not from deciphering handwriting.

Completeness Enforcement

Required fields and documents are enforced at submission, so applications arrive ready to work rather than half-finished.

Workflow From Submission to Decision

Each application enters a governed pipeline with clear status, ownership, and next steps visible to credit and sales alike.

Portal-Based Applicant Experience

Customers apply and submit documents through the SCONNECT portal, giving applicants a professional experience and your team a single channel.

OUTCOMES

What changes on the desk

Complete Applications First Time

Enforce required information at intake instead of discovering gaps mid-review.

Faster Time to First Order

Remove the intake delays that keep approved-in-principle customers waiting.

Less Manual Chasing

Free analyst time from document follow-up and re-keying.

A Better Applicant Experience

Give new customers a modern application process instead of a fax-era form.

Frequently asked questions

How do customers actually submit an application?

Through a digital application form, typically accessed via the SCONNECT customer portal or a link your sales team shares. The applicant completes validated fields, uploads requested documents, and provides trade references in structured form. On submission, the application lands in your credit team's queue with everything attached.

Can we customize what the application asks for?

Yes. Required fields, document requirements, and reference expectations are configurable, so a small-limit account can face a lighter application than a customer requesting a six-figure line. The application should match your policy, not force one shape on every applicant.

What happens after an application is submitted?

It enters the decisioning workflow: scoring against your weighted scorecard, bureau data pulls where configured, financial review where statements were provided, and routing to the right approver based on your authority thresholds. Intake and decisioning are one continuous pipeline, not two systems.

We already have a fillable PDF application. Why is this better?

A fillable PDF still arrives by email, still allows blank fields, still detaches from its supporting documents, and still has to be re-keyed into whatever you track applications in. Structured intake means validation at the source, documents bound to the record, and zero re-keying, which is where most of the cycle time actually goes.

Does this replace the credit review itself?

No, and it should not. Automation handles intake, completeness, and movement; your analysts and your policy still make the decision. The point is that reviewers start from a complete, structured file instead of assembling one.

How does this work if sales initiates the account?

Sales can trigger an application to a prospect and see its status as it moves, which replaces the recurring where-is-my-customer's-application email thread. Credit keeps ownership of the decision; sales gets visibility into progress.
